Accessibility commitment

Every learner gets the whole course.

Accessibility is part of the format, not an add-on. Every lesson is made to be heard, read, seen and navigated in more than one way.

  • CaptionsOn every video lesson.
  • TranscriptsFull and interactive in the player.
  • Audio descriptionEvery lesson picture is described for learners who can't see it.
  • Keyboard supportEverything works without a mouse.
  • Screen-reader supportClear structure, labels and reading order.
  • Adjustable speed and text sizePlayback from 0.5× to 2×, and larger text when needed.
  • Dyslexia-friendly modeEasier letterforms and more generous spacing.
  • High-contrast modeStronger lines and pure black text.

Built to WCAG 2.1 AA. That is our design target, not a certification. We will tell you plainly where we stand: an independent accessibility review and conformance report are in preparation, and we will share them with institutions as soon as they are complete.

The learning experience

Learn like it’s a spa.

The course player is built to be calm: quiet colors, steady sound, and nothing that flashes or hurries you. Every comfort here is a setting the learner controls.

Screens, sound and deadlines can wear people down. These choices may feel more comfortable for some people. They are comfort settings, not a treatment for any condition.

Five reading themes

  • PaperWhite with near-black text: the clearest contrast, and always the default.
  • WarmSoft cream with dark text, gentler for long reading.
  • Low glareA quiet light grey that takes the shine off a bright screen.
  • High contrastPure black on white, with thicker borders.
  • NightDark grey with soft light text, for light sensitivity or a dark room. Some people find it more comfortable; it is never the default.

Plus four text sizes, a dyslexia-friendly font and roomier line spacing.

  • Focus mode

On lesson pages, show only the section you are on, with buttons to move to the next one. Everything else stays out of sight until you turn it off.

  • Breathe first, if you want it

An optional pause before a quiz or test: three slow breaths, about 30 seconds, guided in words. It is off unless you turn it on, and you can always skip it. Its circle stays still when your device asks for reduced motion.

  • Deadlines you choose

Pick the pace that fits your life. Quizzes and tests have no time limit, and late work is still accepted.

    Standard
    One lesson every 7 days.
    Accelerated
One lesson every 3½ days, when you have more time.
    Extended time · accommodation
Every deadline gets 1.5 times as long.
    Flexible · accommodation
Dates are suggestions only, and nothing is ever marked late.
  • Stretch, without shame

Each lesson has a Stretch: answer one of its Check questions in about 150 words, then ask your tutor to push back. Quizzes keep your personal best and tell you when you beat it. There are no streaks and no leaderboards; the only score you race is your own.

  • Steady, soft sound

Narration in the video lessons is levelled to one steady volume, with harsh “s” sounds and sharp high tones softened. The player never plays sounds of its own, and captions are on unless you turn them off.

  • No flashing, ever

Nothing in the player flashes or blinks. Its animations follow your device’s reduce-motion setting, or the player’s own motion switch.
